Reliable level measurement is critical to process safety, operational efficiency and informed decision-making. But relying on a single measurement technology can sometimes leave operators without the level of verification they need—particularly in demanding process applications.
On Tuesday, August 18, 2026, Westech Industrial’s manufacturing partner Clark-Reliance will host a technical webinar exploring how Jerguson magnetic level gages and guided wave radar can be combined to provide redundant level measurement within a single-chamber solution.
Led by Jerguson Product Manager Rob Bolin, the webinar will examine the Jerguson MGWR Series and how dual-technology level measurement can provide both reliable local indication and continuous level measurement.

Why Redundant Level Measurement Matters
Different level measurement technologies have different strengths and limitations. Selecting the right solution requires considering the process conditions, measurement requirements, installation and the level of redundancy required for the application.
Combining a magnetic level gage (MLG) with guided wave radar (GWR) provides two complementary methods of monitoring process level.
The magnetic level gage provides clear local visual indication, while guided wave radar provides continuous electronic level measurement that can be incorporated into a plant’s monitoring or control system.
This combination can give operators and maintenance personnel greater confidence in what is happening inside the process by providing two independent indications of level.
Exploring Jerguson MGWR Single-Chamber Technology
One of the key topics of the webinar will be Jerguson’s MGWR Series, which integrates magnetic level indication and guided wave radar into a single chamber.
Rather than treating local indication and continuous measurement as completely separate installations, the MGWR approach combines the technologies into one level measurement assembly.
During the webinar, Rob Bolin will discuss:
- Why redundant level measurement can be valuable in process applications
- Strengths and limitations of common level measurement technologies
- How magnetic level gages and guided wave radar work together
- Benefits of combining local indication with continuous measurement
- Important design considerations when evaluating a dual-technology solution
- Advantages of Jerguson’s single-chamber MGWR technology
The presentation will conclude with a live Q&A, providing attendees with an opportunity to ask technical questions directly to the Clark-Reliance Product Manager.
Who Should Attend?
The webinar will be particularly relevant for process, instrumentation and controls engineers, maintenance and reliability professionals, plant and operations personnel, engineering consultants, and technical purchasing professionals involved in level measurement applications.
It may also be valuable for facilities looking at ways to improve measurement confidence, add redundancy or evaluate alternatives to conventional level instrumentation arrangements.
