ONSITE3D’s workflow and innovative approach to completing brownfield MOC projects has allowed ONSITE3D to effectively and consistently reduce the over all project cost and schedule. Our cradle to grave approach reduces the projects risks between services and allows for effective communication and collaboration between teams.
ONSITE3D has been using laser scanning technology over the last 5 years to complete complex brownfield MOC projects with minimal field fabrication required. The only field fabrication required is hot tie ins where a flange is not available and any tie ins to existing structural supports.
ONSITE3D is the only private company in Western Canada that has a Spool Welding Robot. This Spool Welding Robot is 30-40% faster than traditional welders, has an accuracy of 0.1mm and a recorded defect rate of less than 1%. In addition, it produces a live video QC recording of every weld.
ONSITE3D’s QA/QC department has even embraced these technologies in order to reduce the chance of an incorrectly fabricated spool being sent to the field. This is done by utilizing our in house resources and incorporating the laser scanning after the spool has been built for spool dimensional verification with respect to the CAD model. With this verification, a deviation report for each spool is included in the QA/QC package.
