Enbridge Inc. says it has signed a deal to buy Salt Creek Midstream’s crude oil gathering business in the Delaware basin for US$600 million in cash.

The company says the business includes about 800 kilometres of crude oil gathering infrastructure that serves a group of more than 20 producers in New Mexico and Texas.

The Orla, Wink North and DCX gathering systems have a combined 420,000 barrels per day of throughput capacity and 350,000 barrels of storage capacity.

Colin Gruending, executive vice-president and president of Enbridge Liquids Pipelines, says the deal will extend Enbridge’s presence deeper into the Permian Basin through the addition of a highly connected crude gathering platform.

The transaction is expected to close later in 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
