Petroleum Engineering Technologist

Position Summary:
Premier Integrated Technologies is an Optimization Company focused on helping producers to achieve maximum netbacks on their existing oil and gas wells. In addition, PIT offers Annual Regulatory and Environmental testing field services and reporting service to Oil and Gas producers. This job/position is critical to the success and to the service quality provided by the PIT Oil Division. Focused on providing information services to our Oil clients, this role works closely with the PIT Oil field technicians and team to build and deliver the pertinent reports that our customers need. Dispatching field work, and timely responses to clients are vital to success in this role. Occasional Field work is necessary. Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license. Pre-Employment Drug Screening Test is also required.
Required Qualifications to Apply:
PIT is seeking a QUALIFIED graduate of NAIT/SAIT (or equivalent) possessing a Diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology program. ALSO, individual must have actual field experience working on producing oil and gas wells. DO NOT APPLY if you do not have these requirements. Having a CET or P.Tech designation will be a good asset, but it is not a pre-requisite.
Critical Position Functions & Requirements:
- Field Experience working directly with the field production of oil and gas wells is a must for this role.
- Work with raw data from the field technicians and then build the pertinent reports for clients. Follow up with the clients on these reports is expected;
- Working closely with sales staff and field technicians to ensure that each job is a success
- Must become proficient in report and design for the following services:
- Dynamometers and Pumping System Design, Build-up analysis, Static BHP, Surface casing vent flow reports, Gas migration reports, GOR (Gas/Oil ratio) reports, Foam Depression reports, IPR curves (Inflow Performance Relationship), Acoustic velocity fluid level interpretation, well monitoring reports, well PAS files for Provincial Regulators (AER/OGC/SER) on applicable tests listed above, and various other Oil department reports as they are offered.
- Must work closely daily with all Oil Dept. staff to achieve timely report turnaround to clients.
- Must become able/adept at using various engineering software programs and databases, including: IPS-AWS, Fekete’s Virtuwell (and more), GeoWeb, DynoPro, Viper, IPS Pressure Logger Filter, Panther, RocLink, Spar95, FL-1 Analysis tool, Echometer software (as needed), Excel, Word, and many more.
