The Challenge:
In thermal oil production, where daily volumes can exceed 200,000 barrels, precision and reliability are non-negotiable—especially when it comes to fuel gas injection systems. A major producer was using threaded rotameters at the wellhead to monitor gas flow. However, due to the presence of contaminated sour gas (H₂S), these devices frequently clogged, leading to operational inefficiencies and increased maintenance.
