Waiward was contracted to complete the major earthworks, tank pads and erosion protection for the Gibsons Hardisty East Terminal Tank Farm Expansion Phase 2. Site development work totaled 60,000 m3 of earthworks, 140,000 MT of granular material supply and placement, 800 steel piles excavated, booted with hdpe liner and backfilled. This civil scope further included the construction of 5 storage tank foundations ranging in size from 300,000 to 500,000 barrels, 69,000 m2 of HDPE liner installation, as well as all final grading and civil support operations. This project finished ahead of schedule on December of 2016.
