FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Vancouver, March 8, 2018 – It’s all very well that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau continues to say positive things about Kinder Morgan’s vital plans to add sorely needed pipeline capacity to Canada’s access to Western tidewater. In fact, we’re glad he says he supports the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion Project.
But when it comes to tangible action, Canadians need to see much more from Ottawa in terms of delivering on this critical project. So Canada Action is joining with a network of similarly concerned groups at a rally set for this Saturday in downtown Vancouver.
Participating groups are saying we need our governments to show greater determination in advancing this and other responsible infrastructure projects even as they protect our precious water, air and land.
It’s time for leadership on pipelines. It’s time for the federal government to step up and fulfill their constitutional roles – and make the pipeline project a reality. Details:
When: Saturday, March 10, 2018, 2PM to 3:30PM
Where: Jack Poole Plaza, Vancouver (in front of the Olympic Cauldron)
Free admission – everyone is welcome
Enough foregone tax revenues! Enough lost opportunities as we’re forced to sell our fair trade oil and gas to a single US market at a deep discount! Come by and listen as featured speakers explain the huge importance of getting this pipeline project done!
Join us in Vancouver! Let’s send a message that our governments can’t ignore!
PLEASE NOTE: If you’ve received this advisory but you aren’t able to attend the rally in Vancouver, then we urge you to PLEASE FORWARD THIS NOTICE TO SOMEONE IN THE VANCOUVER REGION WHO MIGHT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE.
And if you can’t make it, then PLEASE JOIN US ON SOCIAL MEDIA and participate in a growing chorus of support for the project! You’ll find our addresses below.
