This year the Energy Council of Canada invited members, partners, and others to submit stories that illustrate the evolution of the relationship between Indigenous Canadians and the energy sector. Indigenous people have become much more engaged in the energy industries over the years. Their interests are represented through direct involvement in the sector as regulators, partners, suppliers, and project proponents.
Canada’s Energy Story contains articles from Indigenous organizations, industry associations, and major companies. All illustrate the ways in which many Indigenous communities rely on the energy industries, and vice versa. Please take some time to review Canada’s Energy Story to discover initiatives and practices that you might not have been aware of.
ECC is also releasing today its 4th Quarter Newsletter. A tumultuous year is drawing to a close. Find out how the ECC has been engaged with the important issues facing the Canadian energy sector.
