For 27 years, the Petroleum Services Association of Canada has been bringing industry leaders together to support STARS, raising more than $17 million through the PSAC STARS & Spurs Gala. Your past support helps to ensure STARS can be there for the next patient in need. AIR
While the traditional gala format is not be feasible this year due to COVID-19, the commitment of PSAC is that STARS remains mission ready at all six bases across Western Canada. As a result, we have exciting plans to incorporate new physically distanced activities to raise funds. Our theme this year highlights the Canadian values shared by our energy industry and STARS.
In an initiative to raise the same level of funds to support STARS, the PSAC STARS & Spurs Gala has been reimagined into a three-part campaign.
PSAC STARS & Spurs Safe@Home Gala
Rather than a physical PSAC STARS & Spurs Gala this year, we will hold a Safe@Home gala airing on Feb. 27, 2021. This 60-minute video will include various event performances by recognizable Canadian entertainers.
This portion of the PSAC STARS & Spurs campaign will raise funds for STARS and we will celebrate the essential role our industry plays in our Canadian communities. We are asking past and new supporters to contribute what they can in support of STARS in this PSAC STARS & SPURS Safe@Home campaign. By contributing as much as you feel appropriate, we can help to ensure STARS can be there for the energy industry.
PSAC STARS 50/50
Stay tuned for more details about a provincewide 50/50 lottery that will run in the spring, with the draw taking place during the PSAC STARS & Spurs industry live auction (June 2021).
PSAC STARS Live Industry Auction
The PSAC STARS live industry auction takes place in June 2021 and will include recognition of all PSAC STARS & Spurs Safe@Home Gala campaign sponsors, the announcement of the 50/50 winner, and a final fundraising tally. The event will have several creative and fun aspects that will make this a must-attend event for the Canadian energy industry.
Simply put, STARS fights for life! In 2021, PSAC will continue to ensure STARS can be there for the next patient in need. We are counting on your support to help achieve this goal.
