Global Petroleum Consultants Appoints New CEO

Calgary, AB, September 25, 2019 – GLJ Petroleum Consultants (GLJ) today announced that Jodi Anhorn, current GLJ executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been appointed as GLJ’s new president and chief executive officer.

In addition, Chad Lemke has moved from vice president to executive vice president and chief operating officer, joining Caralyn Bennett, executive vice president and chief strategy officer, as part of the senior leadership team. The leadership changes are effective October 1, 2019, and follow the retirements of Keith Braaten, president and chief executive officer, and Mark Jobin, vice president, on September 30.

“I’m honoured to have been selected as GLJ’s next president and CEO. The leadership team is excited to expand GLJ’s industry role as a purpose-driven organization that provides immense value to our clients,” said Anhorn. “We will continue to provide the trusted expertise our clients count on, and see new opportunities to increase our focus on machine learning, while expanding our efforts international and with indigenous communities.”

Effective October 1, GLJ will also welcome three others to the leadership team, including Graham Simpson as vice president, geoscience, Patrick Olenick as vice president, and Michael Morgan as vice president.

“The additions to our leadership team will enable us to focus on what we’ve identified as the four pillars that will lead GLJ into the future of the energy industry: core business, emerging products and services, technology and digital, and people and culture,” said Anhorn.
