Calgary, October 12, 2016: Environmental Refuelling Systems Inc. (ERS) announces the appointment of Cheryl Cardinal to the Board of Directors. Cheryl Cardinal has spent close to 20 years working with various First Nation communities nationally in the area of mining, energy and resources development, and her work has been focused on addressing the many barriers First Nations face in these industries today. Cheryl is currently the President/CEO of the Indigenous Center of Energy (ICE) based out of the Sucker Creek Cree Nation in Alberta with a sub-office in Calgary, and with a vision to ensure Indigenous voices are at all tables. She works with Indigenous people globally to support and foster mutually beneficial relationships between their communities and the energy and mining sectors. Her Indigenous Advisory Committee focuses in the areas of climate change, sustainability, renewable energy, mining, international trade, oil and gas.

Cheryl Cardinal is Cree/ Coast Salish and is a member of the Sucker Creek Cree Nation in Alberta, and has family ties to Tsartlip and Snuneymuxw First Nations in British Columbia. Cheryl has a Bachelor of Arts with a Double Major in Political Science and History from the University of British Columbia.

Ms. Cardinal joins Scott Van Vliet, Mark George, Doug McNeill and Gordon Wilson on the board of directors for ERS. In June 2016, Mr. Van Vliet became the majority shareholder in ERS and assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. Mark George, formerly of PricewaterhouseCoopers, is now President and Chief Operating Officer, and also joining the ERS team is Don Gleason as Chief Financial Officer. Formerly of Neostream Technologies, Don has a wealth of experience in technology and resource based companies both nationally and internationally.
