GeoVerra Announces VP, Environment, Sustainability and Social Responsibility

Edmonton, AB (May 3, 2023) – GeoVerra, one of Canada’s largest land surveying and geomatics firms, has announced that the role of their Vice-President, Forestry and Environmental, Adrienne Maskalyk, is expanding to Vice-President, Environment, Sustainability and Social Responsibility. This new role demonstrates the company’s commitment and recognition of the importance of sustainability and social responsibility to their communities and clients.

In her expanded role, Adrienne will continue to focus on the company’s forestry and environmental side of the business, while also supporting GeoVerra’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and their stakeholders. CEO, Mitch Ettinger comments, “Sustainability efforts are no longer a nice to have, but an expectation from clients, job seekers, and our own team. As one of Canada’s largest surveying and geomatics firms, we need to set the bar high as industry leaders and encourage our peers to do the same.” Ettinger adds, “As a member of our Reconciliation Strategy working group and an individual with a passion for the environment and the communities in which we operate, this role is a natural fit for Adrienne.”

Adrienne graduated from the University of British Columbia with a B.Sc. (Forestry) in 2000. With a background in forestry and expert knowledge of land use management, Adrienne has over 19 years in forestry and environmental consulting. She provides solutions for clients across numerous industries by liaising with stakeholders, landowners, Indigenous peoples, and government sectors. Adrienne is a valuable member of the GeoVerra team, offering strong leadership and a collaborative approach.
