Rick Grafton takes the helm at Suits and Boots – Rick Petersen

I’ve got some important and exciting news today that I’d like to share with you.

Starting September 1st, my good friend Rick Grafton will be officially taking over as Executive Director of Suits and Boots, and will be bringing along a strong communications and fundraising team that I know will take our organization to the next level.

As you will see in his LinkedIn profile here, Rick is CEO of Grafton Asset Management in Calgary and a leading voice in Canada’s energy sector. He has been a Suits and Boots supporter since our launch in April of 2018, has provided us with guidance, advice and introductions that have helped us immensely, and was kind enough to help us host the Calgary event last December in our cross Canada tour.

Rick will be sending out an introductory email next week, with an idea of his plans, so please look forward to that. I know that his vision for Western Canada, his enthusiastic support and understanding of the energy sector, and his willingness to take on a number of challenges that we all face in the months and years ahead will help Suits and Boots become even stronger.

I will be stepping back from Suits and Boots to fully commit my time and energy to my efforts to win the Conservative Party of Canada’s nomination in Edmonton Strathcona and move on from there to become the next Conservative MP in this riding following the next Conservative election. Edmonton Strathcona has been held by the NDP for the past 12 years, and is the only one in Alberta that is not a Conservative seat. I plan on changing that in the next federal election and become a bold, Conservative voice for the riding and for Alberta in the next Conservative government.
