First and foremost, I hope that you continue to be safe and healthy and want to thank you for your patience during these challenging times.
On account of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chief Medical Officers of Health of Alberta and Saskatchewan Health Authority have banned all gatherings of more than 15 people for an indefinite period of time and the City of Lloydminster has declared a state of local emergency. These steps, as well as our continuing concern for the health and well being of our community, means we are unable to host the 2020 edition of the Lloydminster O.T.S. Heavy Oil Show.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of the Lloydminster O.T.S. Heavy Oil Show. Our bi-annual show has been around for 38 years. While we wish we could have continued to bring the energy industry together in 2020 to showcase technology and innovation in our sector, the health and safety of our exhibitors, attendees and community is front of mind.
If you are already an exhibitor in the 2020 show, your booth will automatically be carried over and we look forward to having you and your guests at Lloydminster O.T.S. Heavy Oil Show 2021. Choosing to keep your booth and banquet tickets will provide much appreciated support for our not–for-profit organization and ensure that you have your specific booth for 2021. Should circumstances prevent you from carrying over to our 2021 event, please reach out to discuss your options before May 29, 2020.
Our passion for the oil industry still burns brightly – and we sincerely hope yours does as well. As we all begin to make new plans for the future we would be honoured if you would include the Lloydminster O.T.S. Heavy Oil Show in yours. We know our community is strong and resilient, and we look forward to celebrating together with you again September 15-16, 2021!
