About the Event
Startup Grind Calgary is continuing their annual tradition of having the final Startup Grind Calgary event of the year focus on social enterprise. This year their feature fireside chat is with W. Brett Wilson! Brett will talk about his story, lessons learned and thoughts on the Calgary entrepreneur ecosystem.
Also speaking will be:
- Hannah Cree of CMNDG, a linen company which hires people who are faced with poverty and homelessness and pay them a living wage, providing on the job training, mentorship and ensuring they are connected to the right social service agency programs.
- Alex Putici of Work Nicer, Alberta’s largest coworking community with outposts in Calgary and Edmonton. They have been heavily focused on helping entrepreneurs move their legacies forward with Work Nicer’s community as the catalyst.
