Catapult’s Water Leadership Symposium – Friday, November 15

With an impressive lineup of researchers, economists, producers and innovators, Catapult Water Midstream is hosting its first Water Leadership Symposium this Friday.

The inspiration came from CEO Michael Wood who wanted to encourage industry engagement while focusing on the environmental, social and governance aspects of managing produced water. Frustrated that other Canadian Water Conferences weren’t promoting open sharing, or creating forward momentum in water reuse, Catapult set out to change that.

“The Symposium looks at the astounding scale of developments in water handling to engage in a deeper conversation about sustainability, innovation and economics,” said Wood. “This Symposium is about creating a dialogue and learning from one another.  An ambitious end goal would be to help kickstart our Canadian oil and gas industry into action.

The event opens with a look at the macro environment featuring a Thought-Leader Panel Discussion and an American Knowledge Share from a renowned US Keynote speaker.

The discussion moves to the micro environment with the Stewards’ Debate and eight Innovation Lightning Talks, showcasing practical, yet brilliant ideas in the industry today.

Recognizing industry hardships, at $35 per ticket, the Symposium was meant to be inclusive, encouraging discussion, education and networking for all within industry. To learn more or to register, visit Catapult’s Water Leadership Symposium.
