Calgary, AB (July 17, 2019) – Calculating your estimated cost savings has never been easier. This week STEP has launched an online savings calculator that operators can use to estimate their cost savings when they use STEP’s bi-fuel fracturing fleet. Bi-fuel pumps use a mixture of natural gas and diesel which reduces diesel usage, improves operational efficiency and minimizes the environmental impact.
“Since launching our bi-fuel solutions in 2016, we’ve maximized bi-fuel efficiency through the optimization of equipment layout on the project site. We continually monitor engine performance in the field and analyze pump fleet metrics in the office, which results in incredible substitution rates for our clients,” says Todd Rainville, vice-president of sales and engineering. “On average clients have experienced 40-65 per cent substitution rates which results in savings of $20-40,000 per day.”
