PetroLMI is expanding our Career Explorer tool. We’re adding new careers that continue to reflect the skills, education and talents of Canada’s energy industry.
Digitization and automation are driving significant changes in the ways the oil and gas industry operates. Technology and automation-based roles will be key to addressing the evolving needs of the sector. As part of our research to define the careers required, we will be hosting short, informal focus groups to validate our initial research.
We are looking for participants in a one-hour, facilitated session to provide feedback on our research. Sessions will be held in downtown Calgary with specific times and dates to be determined based on availability. Please contact David Klug at klug@telus.net to participate. If you’re interested in providing feedback but aren’t in Calgary, we’d still like to hear from you, you can click on any of the occupations below to complete a short survey. We are looking for feedback on the following occupations:
- Automated Systems Technologist
- Computer Network Administrator
- Cybersecurity Analyst
- Data Scientist
- IT Architect
- Database Administrator
- Business Development Manager
- Change Management Specialist
- Operations Research Analyst
- Records Management Technician
