If asked, companies in the energy sector will typically declare their objectives to be improved profitability, efficiency and product quality. OilPro’s mission is to provide effective and reliable oil and natural gas production equipment so companies can achieve exactly that: quality, efficiency, and profitability.

OilPro, founded by Olav Cramer – President, Mike Adams – Chief Financial Officer, and a silent partner, successfully lived this mission within the energy industry over the last 20 years, earning them a reputation based on trust. Located in Calgary since its formation, the company purchased its first corporate space in southeast Calgary five years ago. However, OilPro reaches beyond its Calgary base with a network of international partners across continents that continues to grow. The company  developed a business model that smoothly conforms to the ebbs and flows of the industry without opening and closing locations by utilizing owned, vendor and partner storage space to accommodate their clients’ needs.

In short, OilPro supplies a line of surface equipment for oil and gas production. Their strategic  inventory  of long lead items, consists of tanks, pressure vessels – such as treaters/FWKO’s, separators, lineheaters, slug catchers and Flare Knock Outs, Stirling Engine and conventional generators, and compression equipment. An essential complement to OilPro’s equipment is the Eco1st Separation Enhancer, a solid-state, chemical-free demulsifier and wax remover, used to help enhance separation in oil production and water disposal batteries.

Separation Enhancer Eco1st Separation Enhancer

OilPro is the first in the Canadian market to officially distribute Eco1st, which itself is a unique offering on the market. OilPro chose Eco1st because of the product’s initial successes in the extremely price sensitive agriculture market, accomplishments that were followed by numerous successful case studies of Canadian, US and South American applications. Eco1st’s persistence in adapting to Canadian regulation and remarkable value to oil production captivated OilPro. This foresight paid off; customers who use Eco1st see dramatic results within their processes. “We have customers who had steam trucks lined up to clean up dark crud at the bottom of their tanks only to find that their walls were so clean that they could read the original welder’s writing on the walls,” Cramer says.

Eco1st isn’t simply another addition to one’s oil and gas production line. It is an overall process and cost improvement method that is exceptionally simple to install. The product enhances efficiency, positively – and often instantly – improving users’ bottom line. “Any time you’re removing oil from water or sand, you’re actually giving somebody more oil to sell,” highlights Cramer.

Boasted as an immediate cost-saving alternative in many capacities, the Eco1st Separation Enhancer process exhibited liquid flow increases from as much as 700 barrels of fluid a day and up, while drastically reducing a user’s dependencies on chemicals, trucks, filtration, disposal HP and third party processors. In particular, the process breaks emulsions through ionization rather than adding costly chemicals, improving oil recovery, reducing retention time, chemical use and friction, and eliminating scale and wax build-up.

Slow emulsion cleaning is mitigated by Eco1st as it reduces bottlenecks, consequently allowing the user to bring on more wells without investing in more infrastructure. Trucking is reduced due to a decreased need to transport off-spec emulsion. Further still, third-party processors are reduced or eliminated outright when Eco1st is implemented, as clean oil and clean water can be dealt with directly on-site.

“What the Eco1st unit does is break those bigger molecules that make scale, wax or emulsion, into smaller ones and has the benefit that the lighter stuff can float to the top and the heavier stuff can sink to the bottom more quickly,” explains Cramer. “It also means that filters don’t get plugged as quickly.” After implementation, users are saved from purchasing as many chemicals and filters as before, while saving them from the labour and facility closures that are typical of traditional methods.

Witnessing Immediate Value

OilPro understands that the commitment of a new product can deter companies from purchasing a product due to implementation time and costs to transition. Recognizing this, the company offers a trial with no obligation, so customers can see firsthand the benefits that Eco1st offers. They then offer purchase, lease, or lease-to-own options. After effortless installation onto a production line with convenient flex hose, Eco1st’s durable stainless-steel construction leaves the user with immediate, but enduring, benefits to their bottom line. And, in today’s economy, bottom line results are of top priority for the long-term.

OilPro can be confidently chosen as a supplier of oil and gas production line equipment due to its longstanding role in the industry. Eco1st proves through case studies and Canadian application that the unit provides an easy solution to an improved bottom line. As the market progresses and looks for improved processes, Eco1st Separation Enhancer already on the way to become a staple on every battery where oil, sand and water are separated, stored, pumped, disposed or/and transported.
