Tangle Creek is a private company focused on unconventional resource based light oil development. At its property near Fox Creek Alberta, Tangle Creek has a number of oil and injection wells and an oil pipeline which goes under the Athabasca River. In order to reduce both environmental incident exposure and operating costs, Tangle Creek is using WatchDog to monitor their wells and to ensure that no oil is leaking in the pipeline at the river crossing.
Greg Kondro, VP Production at Tangle Creek said “River crossings are extremely environmentally sensitive and we are taking great care to insure that if a leak were to happen we could react to it almost instantly. We are really impressed with WatchDog and the fact that we can do so much with it at a very low cost. “
Jason Lubarsky, Field Superintendent for Tangle Creek said “WatchDog has really helped us to monitor our well sites both for production assurance and stuffing box leaks. We are saving money using WatchDog because we get enough information from our virtual well site visit that we don’t feel we need to visit the wells every day. We are alerted to production issues immediately when they occur. Also, we feel much more comfortable that our exposure to well site and pipeline leaks is reduced to a minimum due to WatchDog’s leak detection capability.
