Kelly Ogle to Present at the 2024 NCC Clean Energy Summit!

Join us in welcoming Kelly Ogle to speak at our 2025 Event. Kelly J. Ogle is the Chief Executive Officer of the CGAI. He also manages the Energy Security Forum and is the host of Energy Security Cubed, a weekly podcast discussing all facets of energy security. Mr. Ogle is a serial entrepreneur, scholar, and published author. He has served as a board member of several companies, public, private and not for profit, including the board of the Humboldt Broncos hockey club, where is a proud alumnus. Mr. Ogle received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan, a Master of Strategic Studies from the University of Calgary and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Canadian Directors.

Chief Ellis Ross to Present at the 2025 NCC Clean Energy Summit!

Join us in welcoming Chief Ellis Ross. Chief Ross was born in Kitimat as the sixth of seven siblings, Ellis grew up in Kitamaat Village. Ellis had several regional jobs as a young man including survey work for Fisheries and Oceans, operating a charter operation, and running a hand logging and salvage log beach combing business with family members. Wanting to serve and improve his community, Ellis become the Haisla Nation Council’s first full-time councillor in 2003. He was directly involved in negotiating and signing the agreement with Chevron’s Kitimat LNG in 2006 for an LNG facility on the Douglas Channel. He was then elected Haisla Nation’s Chief Councillor in 2011. Ellis led the Haisla team that negotiated the historic LNG Canada agreement, paving the way for positive generational opportunities for the Haisla Nation and British Columbia while setting the table for the Haisla Nation majority-owned, Cedar LNG Project in partnership with Pembina Pipeline Corporation. Ellis was inducted into the Order of British Columbia in 2014. Ellis was elected as the MLA for Skeena in the 2017 provincial election, taking what had

been a rock solid NDP seat. Upon election, Premier Christy Clark appointed Ellis as the Minister of Natural Gas Development and Minister Responsible for Housing. In Opposition, Ellis has served as critic for Natural Gas and Petroleum Resources. Ellis won re-election in 2020 and was named opposition critic for Environment and Climate Change Strategy. Ellis recently announced that he will not be seeking re-election to the provincial Legislature. Ellis is speaking out about the vital role smart economic development can play in ensuring that Canada’s indigenous people have a brighter future. Ellis and Tracey live and work in the Terrace area and have two wonderful daughters.

Indian Resource Council CEO, Stephen Buffalo, to Present at 2025 NCC Clean Energy Summit!

Mr. Buffalo is a proud member of the Samson Cree Nation. He graduated secondary school from Athol Murray College at Notre Dame, Saskatchewan. Mr. Buffalo holds a B.A. from Medicine Hat College and B.M. from University of Lethbridge. He worked for Peace Hills Trust for 15 years, most recently as the Regional Manager for Southern Alberta. Mr. Buffalo sits on a numerous boards including being the first ever Indigenous Governor for the Canadian Energy Executive Association, Alberta Indigenous Opportunities Committee – Board of Directors, University of Calgary Redevelop Program, Clean Resource Innovation Network – Executive Committee, St. Mary’s University – Calgary, and is the Vice President of the Notre Dame Hounds – National Alumni.  Mr. Buffalo is traditionally and culturally connected.  He is an avid golfer and enjoys dedicating his free time to coaching hockey.

First Nation LNG Alliance CEO, Karen Ogen, to Present at 2025 NCC Clean Energy Summit!

Karen Ogen is the CEO of the First Nations LNG Alliance, a society of First Nations in support of responsible LNG development in Canada – with a priority on the environment, and on First Nations consultation and engagement. Karen brings extensive experience to her role, having served as elected chief of the Wet’suwet’en First Nation for six years, 2010-2016. She was also a council member for the Nation 1987-1990 and again 2019-2022. She is familiar with the needs of Indigenous communities throughout B.C. and seeks to increase economic opportunities for First Nations through providing information and education regarding responsible resource development. While Karen recognizes that not all projects will be appropriate for all nations, she hopes to help inspire more First Nations to consider and engage in discussions with industry and government around the possibility of resource opportunities. Karen’s academic background is in social work. She achieved her Master’s degree from the University of Northern British Columbia in 2007, and graduated from the Indigenous Governance Certificate Program from the University of Victoria in 2010. August 2022, she  successfully completed her the Masters in Business Administration program from Simon Fraser University in the Indigenous Business Leadership program.  She is the first in her family and community to attain two Master’s degrees. Karen was named one of the “35 Most Influential Women in BC: The power to disrupt” in March 2016, by BC Business Magazine.  And she was elected in two consecutive years, 2021 and 2022, as one of the Business in Vancouver BC 500: The most influential business leaders in British Columbia, in the Resources: Oil and Gas sector.

PTAC CEO Allan Fogwill to Present at 2025 NCC Clean Energy Summit!

Allan Fogwill is the COO for Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada. He is an energy sector executive with over 35 years of experience in the public and private sectors. He has previously worked for think tanks, natural gas distribution companies and a provincial regulator of natural gas and electricity.

Allan has a Master’s in natural resources economics from Simon Fraser University. He sits on the advisory boards of the Asia Pacific Energy Research Centre, the Canadian Centre for Energy Information, and the International Institute for Middle East and Balkan Studies. Mr. Fogwill is a 15-year veteran of the Canadian Forces.

NexGen VP Adam Engdahl to Present at 2025 NCC Clean Energy Summit!

Adam Engdahl has over a decade of exploration and project development experience, including community initiatives within the mining sector. Prior to joining NexGen in 2014, he was employed by Claude Resources Inc. where he played an integral role in the initial expansion and delineation of the Santoy Gap gold deposit for what is now SSR Mining’s richest gold deposit located in Saskatchewan. As NexGen’s Vice-President Community, Mr. Engdahl played an integral role in the successful negotiation and execution of industry leading Benefit Agreements between NexGen and First Nations local to the Rook I Project. Mr. Engdahl began his career managing exploration programs for Search Minerals Inc. where, in 2011, his team was awarded the Explorer/Prospector of the Year Award for Newfoundland and Labrador, by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, Newfoundland and Labrador Branch. Mr. Engdahl was born and continues to reside in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He completed his undergraduate in geology from the University of Saskatchewan.

Heather Eggleston Vice President, Imperial Oil Limited, to Present at 2025 NCC Clean Energy Summit!

Heather Eggleston Vice President, Low Carbon Solutions Canada Imperial Oil Limited Heather Eggleston was named Vice President of Low Carbon Solutions in August 2023, in conjunction with the creation of Imperial’s low carbon solutions organization. Ms. Eggleston has worked for Imperial for over 22 years in a range of positions within the downstream and corporate departments, beginning in 2001 in the Toronto office. Within the downstream, Heather held various commercial assignments with increasing responsibility, in both Canada and the US. In 2013, Heather was responsible for financial reporting of Imperial’s downstream and chemicals business and then moved into the role of director of planning and strategy. In 2018, Heather was responsible for marketing of natural gas and power for Imperial and in 2020 was named Imperial’s Eastern Canada fuels director. Heather is originally from Oakville, Ontario and graduated with honours from McMaster University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and management. She is the proud mother of an active toddler, who keeps her parents young at heart.
