Rock The Night, Save A Heart

A Personal Message from Dennis Ranks

First, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the sponsors and friends who supported last year’s CHRISTMAS CARDIO-A-GO-GO fundraising event. Together, we raised over $90,000 in one night for the Libin Cardiovascular Institute, and it was a night to remember. Ask anyone who attended – they’ll tell you what a fantastic time they had.

I’m excited to announce that we’ll be hosting the event again this year on December 13, 2024, at the Calgary Petroleum Club. The evening will feature Kate and the Comets as the opening act, followed by our featured band – The Mocking Shadows! It will be a night that will undoubtedly KEEP THE BEAT! Your generosity last year made a significant impact in helping to prevent premature deaths, and those who have benefited from the institute’s work are deeply grateful.

As a grateful patient of the Libin Cardiovascular Institute myself, I can personally attest to the life-saving work they do. In June 2022, I faced very serious heart issues, and living in a small town, I needed specialized care. After one assessment at the Foothills Medical Centre, I was referred to the Libin Cardiovascular Institute the next day. Without that referral, I wouldn’t be here today, organizing this special evening in support of an institute that could one day save the life of someone you love.

For ticket information, please visit www.wekeepthebeat.com, or contact Dennis Ranks at 403-371-5012 or [email protected].

We also encourage online donations – contributions can be made at the following link, and you will receive an electronic receipt from the CRA: www.engage.ucalgary.ca/wekeepthebeat.

Let’s come together today for those who need us tomorrow.

Thank you,

A Grateful Patient,
Dennis Ranks
