Alberta Government Amends Curtailment Rules – CAODC

These translations are done via Google Translate
MEMO
DATE: December 5, 2019
TO: All CAODC Members
FROM: Mark Scholz
SUBJECT: Alberta Government Amends Curtailment Rules

Please be advised that the Alberta Government has finalized amendments to Section 3 of the Curtailment Rules to allow production from any conventional oil wells with a spud date of November 8, 2019 or later to be exempt from curtailment (read the information letter here).

CAODC has been instrumental in securing this amendment, and we are hopeful the result will be an increase in drilling programs though the first and second quarters of 2020.

We thank the Alberta Government for observing our urgent timelines and making changes designed to put CAODC members back to work in the near-term.

As such, we will be monitoring activity levels, and will revise our 2020 forecast in the event of any material changes.
