Painted Pony Announces Director Appointment of International LNG Expert, Elizabeth Spomer

CALGARY, April 2, 2019 /CNW/ – Painted Pony Energy Ltd. (“Painted Pony” or the “Corporation“) (TSX:PONY) is pleased to announce that effective April 2, 2019, Ms.  Elizabeth (Betsy) Spomer has been appointed to the Painted Pony Board of Directors.

Ms. Spomer has over 25 years of experience in large-scale, global LNG projects.  Currently Ms. Spomer is a director of Chart Industries Inc., an international company providing LNG equipment and services.  From 2014 to 2018, she served as President and CEO of Jordan Cove LNG LLC (“Jordan Cove“).  From 2017 to 2018, Ms. Spomer served as Senior Vice President, LNG of Pembina Pipelines Corporation (“Pembina“) and from 2014 to 2017 she served as Executive Vice President of Veresen Inc. (“Veresen“).  Veresen and its wholly owned subsidiary, Jordan Cove, were acquired by Pembina in 2017.  Ms. Spomer held various senior executive roles of BG Group plc from 2002 to 2014, including Senior Vice President, Global Business Development, CEO of BG LNG Services and Senior Vice President, Business Development – Americas and Global LNG Region.  Previously, Ms. Spomer was Vice President of Asia Pacific Global LNG with BP plc in Hong Kong.  From 1989 to 1998 she held senior positions with Amoco Production Company.  Ms. Spomer holds a MBA with a concentration in International Business from the University of Colorado.
