Brief:
The rapid advancement of horizontal well technology has brought a variety of different methods for distributing stimulation treatments in the lateral. The choice of completions hardware can promote or discourage different forms of fracture geometry and ultimately impact the production potential of the well. This presentation will provide an introduction to a number of different completions approaches and their impacts on fracture creation.
Presenters: Michael Mehle (Fracture Science Stimulation Engineer – Packers Plus)
Michael Mehle holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania. Since 2015 he has worked as a stimulation engineer with the Fracture Sciences Group at Packers Plus Energy Services, where he is dedicated to investigating the nature of fracture creation as well as customer stimulation design consulting. Prior to that, he was the Rockies Area Technical Manager for Baker Hughes Pressure Pumping in Denver, Colorado, where he worked since 2005.
