It is Time for Action.
A foreign financed vocal minority has stalled the twinning of an existing pipeline that has operated since 1953 without catastrophe and has been declared as being “In the National Interest” by the Federal Government. This project has the support of more than 40 First Nations and would add over ~$10 Billion annually to Canada’s economy. Canada needs action, now. Capital has been fleeing our country at an unprecedented rate, and a failure to build this project this will have severe long term consequences. When will we stand united as a country and say “no more” to the campaign to land lock our oil and gas exports?
Canada Action is helping to coordinate a rally Tuesday (April 10) See Calgary Rally HERE & this Thursday (April 12) to demand that the Federal & Provincial Government’s stop talking and begin to take real action to get this project built. We are running the risk of jeopardizing the economic prosperity that comes with a vibrant energy sector nationwide.
Most importantly, the Federal Government cannot sit idle anymore. It is time for them to take immediate and concrete action. Trans Mountain must not fall by the wayside like so many projects before it. If Justin Trudeau truly believes the economy and environment go hand in hand then they must deliver on their words.
